We bought this camera after getting our new puppy and wanted to make sure we could check on him throughout the day since my partner and I both work in the mornings. It’s great when it comes to how the camera moves and what it see’s, but quality of camera is sometimes spotty and the sound on the camera is not very good. Makes you sound like a robot. Overall decent for what we used it for, but eventually we will have to upgrade to something of higher quality. Definitely one of those “you get what you pay for” purchases.

Setup is a breeze, and I am not using their cloud based service. I have opted for a 512gb micro sd instead for now. I plan to record people events, and delete once a month or so (to keep the card memory available)
The camera rotates/tilts but not smoothly. However, with some practice you can get it to adjust to your desired position fairly easily. Once I set a few presets, it can quickly move through those on a schedule. I’m just maintaining one primary position as it covers plenty I found.
This camera has pretty decent resolution, allowing zoom that provides reasonable detail for a camera like this. And does a good job of handling bright outside light with indoor dull light.
I like this unit so far… and I don’t have to get involved in Googles big brother systems.

I have 4 of these. I have tried another popular brand (starts with B) that can be found at big box stores but I like this one way better. It allows you to save entire days worth of footage even when there is no motion detected. It can also listen for sound. I love that it can pan and tilt, unlike battery-operated ones.
Only downside is that, as with other camera brands, the motion detection is too good. I’m constantly fielding false alarms on the cameras due to glares from passing cars reflecting on the ceiling through the window, etc. No matter where I point the camera, it seems to happen. I know the app has privacy zones that will ignore motion but it’s almost the entire top half of the view and I’m worried I’d miss something if I disable those zones. I have it pointed more towards the ceiling instead of the floor because my cat always sets it off even though I have it set to ignore animals. With the sensitivity at 1/10 this is still an issue. This is the same for audio alarms as well. Passing traffic constantly sets it off all night and wakes me up.
